Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona, Inc.,
has been the Medicare Fiscal Intermediary for the State of
Arizona since 1966. We are contracted by the Centers for Medicare
and Medicaid Services (CMS), a federal agency within the U.S.
Department of Health and Human Services, to process, monitor,
and pay Medicare claims. As the Fiscal Intermediary for Medicare
Part A, we process claims submitted on behalf of beneficiaries
from:
- Hospitals (inpatient/outpatient).
- Skilled nursing facilities.
- End stage renal disease facilities.
- Community mental health clinics.
- Outpatient rehabilitation clinics.
For over 33 years, Medicare has assisted
people age 65 and older and certain disabled Americans in meeting
the costs of health care. Medicare is an important resource
that will help you pay for the services of the most advanced
medical system in the world. As a Medicare Fiscal Intermediary,
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Arizona is committed to assisting
